Initially designed as working trousers, they grew in popularity due to their comfortable fit and durability. From Italian sailors to gold miners in the Wild West, they became a familiar sight around the globe. Different designs were brought onto the market in response to various demands. In the beginning these were based around such considerations as wear and tear, which is how riveted jeans came about. As they moved from the world of work to the world of fashion they really took off. Now companies like J Brand Jeans are leading the way with great new designs in a range of classic and modern colours. The best pair for you

Skinny jeans are great for showing off long slim legs to best effect. Many of them are made of a mix of denim and lycra or denim and elasterell-p, so they have more give in them, making them more comfortable for active people. If you are a little shorter than average then our petite range, with a shorter inseam and a higher knee break, will suit you perfectly. They come in a classic pencil leg or softer boot leg cut. If you have wider hips then the boot cut balances your shape, taking the emphasis away from the hips. For girls with a few more curves, our Scarlett curvy fit range has been designed with you in mind. They have more room around the thigh and a contoured waist to follow your natural curves without gapping. The Monroe in navy is a classic looking style from the curvy fit range, with a more generous fit round the hips and thighs, and a slimming navy colour. They also come in a haight wash (light blue) if you prefer a lighter colour, and this particular pair are made from 100% organic cotton, so they not only loo great but are environmentally friendly as well.

A sophisticated look, combined with classic styling is the main theme. This is the most visible part of the focus. The next thing you will notice is the fantastic fit, when you try them on. Lastly you will notice the attention to detail in stitching and the finish, making them both beautiful and long lasting. You may be carrying a baby but you don't want to walk around in dresses that look like you could camp underneath them or shapeless tracksuit bottoms.
