Washing your Edwin denim

Washing your dry jeans should be done as little as possible, especially in the first year of purchase. Denim is unlike any other clothing material and should only be washed every few months unless you get a stain. In the case of an unsightly stain, wash your Edwin jeans in cold water and never use bleach. There are two different types of jeans on offer; dry denim and pre-washed denim and the care for both designs is very different. Dry jeans need time to adjust and fit to your body shape and they should be washed at temperatures of 60 degrees, inside out, without bleach and with a soft detergent. Shake them out so your Edwin jeans are flat to avoid wrinkles and be careful not to fold them while they are still wet. Do not use a dryer, hang them in the natural air to dry and shape the inseam appropriately while they are wet. Pre-washed jeans come with an already worn look and they have been treated with different treatments from stonewashing to sandblasting, making this denim more expensive than dry denim.
